We had the opportunity to visit Wales and some towns on the Welsh Borders, April 2 through 9, 2002. Our itinerary included Bath, Caerlon (Roman Isca, Imperial camp of Legio II Adjutrix); the castle towns of Harlech, Caernarvon, Beaumaris, Conwy; and the Welsh Borderlands towns of Chester (Roman, Deva, Imperial camp of Legio XX Valeria Vitrix) and Shrewsbury (best known from the Brother Cadfael mysteries). We also rode the Ffestiniog train.
Here are the best of the photos from this trip, taken with my Nikon 995 digital camera.
